This website was created as a part of Jack Wall’s Eagle Scout project. This project entailed pulling Aquatic Invasive Species out of the water for the Wayzata Community Sailing Center, doing research on various species in Lake Minnetonka, and creating a website on it for public use. I did this project because I basically grew up boating on Lake Minnetonka and I am very passionate about taking care of it. I hope that the whole community is willing to attempt to preserve it. I have created lesson plans and presentations with the help of several other volunteers in an attempt to make the public more aware of what has invaded Lake Minnetonka, what they do to local species and what people can do about it. There are several links on the website to the presentations and lesson plans, along with links to other websites that have a similar goal. I hope you find this website useful, and continue to care for Lake Minnetonka!
